Karen believes that "if you can’t connect with yourself, it’s hard to connect healthily with others." Her 40-year career has been defined by one core thread: the power of human connection. Beginning in the world of beauty and hairdressing, Karen quickly realised that tending to the outside is often just the opening of a deeper internal conversation. This insight sparked her own therapeutic healing journey in her early 20s and led to a lifelong commitment to holistic wellbeing.
Over the decades, Karen has transitioned from physical therapies—including Reflexology, Swedish Massage, Indian Head Massage, and Reiki—to the delicate work of emotional rebalancing. In 2017, she qualified as a Bach Flower Remedy Practitioner, helping clients harmonise their emotional states using the natural remedies of Dr. Bach. Her path took a profound turn during four years as a crisis line volunteer for the Samaritans. By holding space for individuals at their most vulnerable, she saw first hand the transformative power of non-judgemental listening. This experience, rooted in the belief that individuals can find their own solutions when given the space to be heard, inspired her to formalise her expertise and train as a Person-Centred Counsellor.
Karen’s therapeutic approach is fundamentally as a Person-centred therapist. Karen views her clients as the true experts on their own lives. She provides a safe, empathetic environment where individuals feel empowered to explore their inner worlds without fear of judgment. Whether you are working through specific emotional blocks or navigating major life transitions, Karen’s goal is to help you foster a stronger connection with yourself. She believes that by understanding and accepting who we truly are, we can build more authentic and healthy relationships with the world around us.
Karen is committed to continuous growth to better support herself & her clients.
