Sam has a First class honours degree in Acupuncture from Northern College of Acupuncture and a Diploma in therapeutic massage therapy from Northern College of Acupuncture. She is a Member of the British Acupuncture Council.
Sam is an acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner with a special interest in women’s health, fertility, and chronic conditions. She supports people in restoring balance in both body and mind through gentle, effective treatments that blend modern evidence-based research with the wisdom of Chinese Medicine. Her approach focuses on addressing the root cause of symptoms, not just the surface level.
Alongside acupuncture, Sam is trained in complementary bodywork techniques including massage, cupping, and gua sha therapy. She draws on this range of tools to create treatments tailored to each individual.
Passionate about a preventative approach to wellness, she also guides people in aligning with the cycles of nature and shares practical lifestyle and dietary advice rooted in Chinese Medicine.
“I believe in the wisdom of our bodies – they are always communicating with us, even in the most subtle ways. My role is to listen deeply and work with you to gently bring things back into balance.”
Sam trained for four years at the highly regarded Northern College of Acupuncture in York, where she graduated with a first class honours degree in Acupuncture with over 400 hours of clinical practice. Additionally, she has a diploma in massage therapy and training in acupuncture for fertility and assisted conception.
After spending many years travelling and living overseas in places such as New Zealand, Canada and Sweden, Sam returned to her roots in the Lake District. When she’s not reading about Chinese Medicine, she can be found on the fells with her dog, cooking nourishing meals to share with family and friends and practicing yoga.
